mateřská škola Masná is in a building, that was built in 1884 as the second kindergarten in Prague. There are two teachers in every class. Teachers at kindergartens in Czech republic usually graduate at high school that was focused on general knowledge. There are many subject taught at pedagogical faculties like playing various instruments (piano, recorder, guitar), artistic technologies and their possible uses for pre-school children, physical education, artistic presentation and dramatic education.
Our teachers are well experienced in pre-school education according to the newest pedagogical researches.
There are 100 children divided into 4 classes of 25 children each. We are taking 3 – 6 year old children and children with elementary school postponement. We provide new children and their parents with the possibility to get adapted to a new environment and a day schedule. There is also the possibility to take in children with minor handicap.
The Ministry of Education provides teachers with a special assistant for these children.
Working with children is usually planned for 1 month according to the School Education Programme. The programme is developed in accordance with principles of the General Programme for Pre-school Education, that was issued by the Ministry of Education in 2001. Our school is focused on ecology, cultural development of the child and co-operation with family.
